The 21-year-old former academy player, who spent last season on loan at Bolton, is now set to travel to St James' Park to discuss personal terms. "We have agreed a transfer fee with Newcastle," a Liverpool spokesman told the club website. The central midfielder was a hit at Bolton and scored on his debut against Fulham in the Carling Cup. Last month, Guthrie, who also spent half a season on loan at Southampton, was reported to be part of an exchange deal which would see midfielder James Milner head to Anfield.
