Cashman’s jump, from a plane based out of Homestead Air Force Base, is the latest in several stunts he has performed to raise awareness for various causes, this one in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. "I'm in great spirits, and it was an awesome experience,” Cashman said from the hospital. “The Golden Knights are first class. While I certainly didn't intend to raise awareness in exactly this fashion, I'm extremely happy that the Wounded Warrior Project is getting the well-deserved additional attention." Cashman so enjoyed his first jump in tandem with Sgt. Noah Watts Monday morning that he went back up for a second trip with Watts. But Round 2 wasn't as successful — Cashman said he “heard a pop” in his ankle as he caught his foot on the ground as he landed. He was immediately tended to by paramedics who stabilized and iced the injuries. He was taken to a local hospital in a fire rescue truck. Cashman jumped without incident his first time and called it "an incredible experience." He was asked if wanted to go up a second time and agreed to do so, joining Watts again in the jump. "It's an opportunity to do something that a lot of people don't do or will ever do, so that's awesome," Cashman said before the jump. "It's called living.
