According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, John Maine expects to make his
next start on Wednesday against the Dodgers. However, if Maine is unable
to make the start, Rubin says the fallback would likely be Hisanori
Takahashi as he wouldn’t require the Mets to make a roster move.
Maine was removed after just 3 2/3 innings yesterday with pain in his
non-throwing elbow.
