Communicating bidirectionally is the advantage that phone calls outweight televisions.If there is an important meeting with your climates far from your work place, which would be chosen, sending a vedio and waiting for their reponse or making a phone call by just dialing some numbers. The answer is obvious, no one would chose television for meetings.
