5. The following igure shows a process in which CO is burned with 70% of the
theoretical air in Reactor 1. The combustion gases are used to generate
stream, and also to transfer heat to the reactants in Reactor 2. A portion
of the combustion gases that are used to heat the set of tubes in Reactor 2
are recycled. SO2 is oxidized in Reactor 2. You are asked to calculate the
lb mol of CO burned per hour in Reactor 1.

6. A dryer produces 200kg/hr of a product containing 10% water from a feed
stream that cintains 1.25g of water per gram of dry material. The air enters
the dryer at 100 degree C dry-bulb and a wet bulb temperature of 38 degree C
;the exit air leaves at 55 degree C dry-bulb and 70% RH, as shown in figure.
Calculate the air and heat supplied to the heater, neglecting any heat lost
by radiation, used in heating the conveyoranf so forth. The specific heat
of the product is 0.18.
