Consider all the readings we have studied this first half of our semester, and
reflect upon how the writings explore issues of old age, loss, and death.
Concentrate on the boss character in "The fly," compare him to old Woodifield,
and describe how he deals with old age and the loss and death of his son.
Then examine how the presence of the fly functions in the story, especially in
relation to and in highlighting the boss' state of mind/being.
Why does the boss break into a cold sweat at the story's end?
