2011 Full-Time Graduate Opportunities Wealth Management, Portfolio Distribution (PD) PD Value Proposition * UBS Portfolio Specialists pro-actively partner with Client Advisors and Clients to exploit investment opportunities, supporting sales of Discretionary/ Non-Discretionary offering and Research based Advice in a portfolio context. Your Role/ tasks: * As a successful candidate you will assist Portfolio Specialists in their day to day work. This includes, amongst others, compiling investment proposals for Client Advisors/ Clients in a portfolio context. You will get to know the UBS product platform, primarily the discretionary/ non-discretionary offering as well as Research based Advice (incl. 3rd party products). You will help source relevant information, analyze portfolios, establish investment policy and structure it in accordance to UBS best practices. Other tasks will include: * Apply the UBS four step advisory concept in daily work * Conduct portfolio analysis, compile investment proposals and other presentation materials * Draw on various information sources (WM/IB Research, Research-based Advice, Bloomberg) and tools * Market UBS discretionary/ non-discretionary solutions and promote PD value proposition * Consolidate sales pipeline figures * Support sales campaigns * Handle daily Market enquiries on product details/ provide after sales support * Liaise with other WM product functions to address/ resolve product-related issues Wealth Management, Capital Markets (CM) Your role would require you to help manage our extensive Capital Markets product portfolio, build on your understanding of research and development processes and introduce the challenges of our marketplace. To apply technical knowledge & market awareness and help identify opportunities to enhance our client offering. Your responsibility would also require you to develop new products and maintain the current product range. Extending our capabilities in securities management, electronic banking and credit sectors. We also provide products to manage market risk. Exposure to the full range of our business activities gives you a broad understanding of how our products are used. This knowledge enhance your creative thinking on marketing and communications strategy and sales support. In the research and development area, you would also learn how to build consultative relationships with Product Specialists and Client Advisors to leverage our collective expertise. The special assignments would also give you insight into the challenges presented by our international business environment.
