Gets caught on screens too often because of it — or having to take disadvantageous angles around off-ball screens to try to make miracle plays. All this is fixable, as Wilson is a smart kid who works hard, but he needs to focus on it and hone this part of his game. There were far more breakdowns than you’d expect for a player this athletic and gifted. The ball gets loose, and he ends up not always taking advantage of his athletic gifts. Had a few moments this year when he showed some positive growth in tight areas, and he doesn’t need to string together four moves at once or anything, but tightening up how he controls the ball to himself will make him even more lethal on his straight-line drives and how he presents counters.
