标题[句子] 我们老师今天教了...

今天系上老师教了一个很怪的句子，这门课是比较语法学，
句子如下：
I think for you to try to help your friends right.
然後他要我们转换句型，变成这样，
I think it right for you to try to help your friends.
这时我举手发问，是否要加is，
因为right应该要用Be动词修饰吧，就算硬变成动词，也要加s，
可是老师说，这是惯用语，
想请问版上的大家，这真的有这种用法吗？
