The NBA annnounced Thursday night that it has added New York Knicks sensation
Jeremy Lin to the "Rising Stars" competition which took the place of the
Rookies-Sophomores game this year during NBA All-Star Weekend. Due to
overwhelming fan support, and the fact that more peope know about Lin than
about half of the rest of the competitors, Lin was added to the pool. Later
Thursday, Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley selected their teams.
Shaquille O'Neal selected Lin seventh during the process.
NBA於（美国时间）星期四晚上宣布，Jeremy Lin 将加入全明星周的新人挑战赛；
由於：(1) 众多球迷支持 (2) 他比原名单上一半的人还要有名，他最後还是被选入
名单之内。星期四当晚稍後，Shaquille O'Neal 与 Charles Barkley分别从名单中
选择自己的队伍。Shaq在第七顺位选了 Lin。
Miami Heat rookie point guard Norris Cole, another notable omission, was also
added to the player pool.
热火的 Norris Cole 原本也不在名单上，但与 Lin 同时在最後一刻加入名单内。
It comes as no surprise as the NBA has tried every imaginable way to figure
out how to include Lin this weekend. David Stern had said earlier Thursday
that he would not allow Lin into the game as to not interfere with the
current setup but popular sentiment won out.
这不意外，因为 NBA早已想尽各种办法让 Lin 参加明星周的活动。David Stern
在星期四之前说过，为了不干预现有的名单，他不会允许把 Lin 放入名单内，
但他无法抵抗球迷的热情。
We'll have complete rosters for the Rising Stars Challenge here on Eye on
Basketball shortly.
稍晚会公布完整的 Rising Stars Challenge 球员名单。
Turns out even David Stern is powerless against Linsanity.
看来，连 David Stern 也抵挡不了 Linsanity。
