The Mavericks have reportedly given Stackhouse permission to seek a trade, and the Knicks could offer the expiring contract of Malik Rose in return. Stackhouse, who will make $7 million this season, will come off the books in the summer of 2010. The only potential snag would be his lingering heel injury. Via Newsday Bobcats Close To Signing Juwan Howard Dec 09, 2008 9:52 PM EST The Bobcats are reportedly close to signing veteran forward Juwan Howard, who was released by the Nuggets last month. Charlotte general manager Rod Higgins said he had been in discussions with Howard's agent, David Falk, and expected a deal completed in next day or two. "We're fortunate that we were able to get in the mix with Juwan," Higgins said.
