Though we haven't secured our qualification yet, we knew that, just a year short of the World Cup, this competition would be very good for us. Mexico played good football, but we had the better start. We managed to get in front and were close to grabbing a second. We created some decent chances but just couldn't take them. Then Mexico scored a great goal and had the better of the second half. They have very good players, and in particular Zinha, who set up most of their play. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with how Japan played despite the defeat.
