标题[问题] 求译叙述图表的一句话

这是ielts叙述图表的写作范例，
想问的点再第二段最後一句：
Interestingly, students in all the featured countries
did least well in the written test,
generally scoring about half a band lower than in the sections.
我自己的试译是：
有趣的是，所有国家的学生在写作方面都表现的最差，
分数一般来说大约在总分的一半...然後比什麽还低@@....
後面就不会了...Orz
half a band是总分一半的意思吗？那不就是4.5,可是看图表也超过4.5很多阿？
lower than... 又是lower than 甚麽呢？後面有省略单字吗？
