Day 7/8, July 9/10 "WEDNESDAY was the longest session so far," reported Marcos. "We started in the morning with a nine-kilometre run. This included a spell of running three kilometres at a four-minute pace, a very strong pace, but the lads coped well and that was very pleasing. In fact, most did it quicker than a four-minute pace. "The full running sessions were three kilometres in 15 minutes, then three kilometres in 12 minutes and then back to three kilometres in 15 minutes. The weather was awful! "We had lunch and then moved onto gym work, then a football session of one hour, 40 minutes. "The players are getting stronger but it's hard work and they are suffering, they are feeling their muscles and are stiff and sore. It's tough but they all want to show us they can do it. "Thursday will be a lighter session, a circuit that will be about endurance and agility and then we fly to Spain looking for the sun!
