Reserve team regulars Charlie Lee and Robert Burch have been released by the Club to further their careers elsewhere. Central defender Charlie and goalkeeper Robert, both graduates of our Academy system, played key roles in our development group winning the Barclays Premiership Reserve League South in season 2005-06. The tenacious Charlie, 20, - captain of Clive Allen's side for much of last season - enjoyed a loan spell at Millwall from mid-November to January, making six appearances for the League One side. Robert, 23, now fully recovered from the broken leg he sustained in the Reserve League play-off final against Manchester United in May 2006, made three reserve appearances last season. He previously picked up experience out on loan at Woking, Stevenage (twice), West Ham and Bristol City. We would like to wish both players every success for the future.
