Aaron Lennon was denied three times by inspired home goalkeeper Ben Foster, Robbie Keane was also denied and both Jermaine Jenas and Ledley King missed late headers. But we didn't have it all our own way. In a storming start, the home side missed the best chance of the game when Tommy Smith somehow half-volleyed over an open goal from six yards while Ashley Young had a goal ruled out for offside. The draw stretched our current unbeaten run to seven games and made it one defeat in our last 10, while Paul Robinson and his defence claimed a fourth-successive clean sheet. "Watford put us on the back foot in the first 15 minutes, they started very aggressively and had three or four corner kicks straight from the kick-off," reflected Martin at Vicarage Road. "Every time we played the ball on the floor we created something but we couldn't take full control and that was because of them. "The second half was better and they didn't create many chances. We had chances with Aaron Lennon and Robbie Keane, I think we had eight or nine chances overall but I can't say we deserved to win. "We could have nicked it but they could have won it as well, so all credit to them.
