先跟大家说一个观念，考SC的时候最重要的是
「
如何迅速看出它在考什麽：文法 / 句意 / 写法好坏？」
以及「
考点要按层级判断：文法>句意>写法好坏」
如果根本没有在考句意就贸然去看句意，
那麽实战的时候会额外耗去不少时间，导致pace大受压迫。
像这一题，ABC/DE的第一个差别在於
「tribes
who interacted...」
「tribes
, interacting...」
看到这个差别时，就要立刻想到以下两个点：
1. 「
没有文法错误」
一个是名词後的关代限定修饰
一个是句尾分词延伸结构（,Ving）
两者在文法上都是正确的
2. 「
在判断写法好坏之前，先判断句意」
既然这是一个修饰成分写法不同的考点，
修饰成分考点的句意要怎麽判断呢？
原则就是：去把修饰对象跟修饰成分对在一起，看意思合不合理
（而不是去看整个句子）
「tribes
who interacted...」
部落可不可以跟其他部落互动呢？逻辑基本判断是可以的。
所以ok。
「tribes
, interacting...」
当句尾分词延伸结构，
逻辑主语抓紧接着的整件事或者该件事动作的主词。
抓的是which（其实就是抓which的先行词，前面的confederacy）
或者 「which was a cluster of loosely knit,
informally related neighboring tribes」（整件事）
confederacy只有一个单数，能不能跟生出其他的「彼此」（each other）互动呢？
不行。
整件事 也只有一件
「which was a cluster of loosely knit, informally related neighboring
tribes」 有办法跟「彼此」互动吗？
不行。
所以
回归到最基本的判断：
修饰到复数的tribes才会有each other，单数不可能有each other。
回到原PO的问题，也就是句意完整翻译：
The Kwakiutl recognized one social unit larger than the tribe-the confederacy,
which was a cluster of loosely knit, informally related neighboring
tribes who interacted with one another more often than with other tribes.
Kwakiutl（应该是某种文化）允许一种比部落更大的社会单位：邦联；
邦联是由一群连结松散、没有正式缔结的邻近部落所构成，而这些邦联内的部落
对其他邦联内部落的互动比邦联外的部落更密切。
