虽然我不知道有没有the Guilded Age这一本书
但是我想跟Mark Twain有关的应该是"the Gilded Age"
gild是镀金的意思 guild是基尔特 也就是工会的意思
Mark Twain用the Gilded Age主要就是讽刺工业化後的美国(19th c.)金絮其外败絮其中
最具代表性就是A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
