标题[请益] how could I improve my English

好久不见，大家！ ^ ^
Actually, I have a small vocabulary! And I'm often not sure if I express
rightly even the vocabulary I know! Like I can say “go up, go down! Walk up,
walk down! Go upstairs,Go downstairs, ...!" But may I say "the current goes
up or go down"?!
我们在中文里是可以拟人化的说“这里电流往上走、 往下走” , 这点在英文里也通吗？
因此我能说的英文非常局限！
我想问，我这种情况，要快速提升英语沟通能力，我该怎麽作？！
And as I talked to others, I think 用我们学过文法、仅知的东西，说出来会不会太
严肃、 不道地或生活化，别人会不会听不懂？！
这些都是让我更不敢开口的因素！！
