标题[文法]英语的介系词後面到底可不可以接句子

如题，英语的介系词有一说後面不能接句子，严格规定後面只能接名词或动名词(包括名
词片语)
但也有人说後面可以接名词、动名词(包括名词片语)跟句子
就有例如：I look forward to which ice cream Mary will eat. 介系词to
後面接了一个名词子句「which ice cream Mary will eat」
以上 小弟感到很困惑英语的介系词後面到底可不可以接句子？
