标题[文法] someone後面要接什麽代名词?

如题，我举个例子，
ex: If someone wants to buy the sports car,
he or she needs to earn money diligently.
用he or she是一定正确，只是有点冗长跟赘字，
好像有看过有用"they"代替的，只是someone是单数
总觉得用"they"是错误的，有人知道还能怎麽表达吗?
