标题[文法] whose的用法

大家好，有关whose +N用法我有爬过文，但是还是有一点不了解...
我们都知道
Whose hat is it? 可以（whose当形容词）
Whose is it? 可以 （whose当所有格代名词）
但 Whose is the hat? 是错误的......
那试问，翻译「这双鞋子是谁的？」该如何解？
(A) Whose is this pair of shoes?
(B) Whose pair of the shoes?
哪一句正确呢？
还是都不正确？ 谢谢指教。
