我看到这样一个句子
Vulnerable as Mr. Dylan is to misunderstanding
, he also actively solicits it.

我大致可以翻译成
Dylan容易被误解，但他还是积极地追寻这种容易被误解的状态
想请教英文高手语意理解，文法和句构上几个问题
(1)
Vulnerable as Mr Dylan is to misunderstanding,
这句中 to + Ving 是 当成一个名词使用来使用吗？ 解释成 “被误解”吗？
如例句 to + Ving当成一个名词
His addiction to gambling has caused a lot of stress for his family.

这个句子为什麽没有连接词来衔接两个句子呢？
