Downstairs, she found him in the living room on his knees, feeling under the
couch cushions.
这句话的中文翻译是：
走到一楼，只见他跪在客厅地板上，两只手在沙发垫子底下摸来摸去。
这句话我光看英文猜不到它中文是这样的意思，
on his knees多少可以想到是跪着，
但最後那句feeling under the couch cushions就想不到了。
请问这句英文是否有作省略呢？是否可以改写成语意更清楚的句子？
