各位好，请教一下
在剑桥辞典中看到这样的解释：
see/think fit
to consider an action or decision to be correct for the situation
例句
Just do whatever you think fit - I'm sure you'll make the right decision.
Spend the money as you see fit.

请问第一句的think fit是不是及物的用法，think的受词是前面的whatever，
而第二句的see fit却是不及物的用法？
换句话说，我的理解是，第一句的架构：
... whatever you think fit.
→ ... anything that you think fit.
而that是关系代名词，引领形容词子句，是think的受词。
所以第一句的结构可以说是 think something fit
但底下这句则不同
She let him do his job as he thought fit.
这句的think fit就是不及物的用法。
结论是，关键在於前面有whatever时，think fit就变成及物了。
（不然whatever根本没位置摆）
请问我的理解是否正确呢？
有提问於英语讨论区，但网友Raymott和tedmc好像看不太懂我想表达的意思...。
