标题[请益] 为做而做 英文讲法

请教版上先进，
如果要表达 "这人做的很多事情都是为做而做" => 有点像是做很多事但真的有用的较少
有点贬意，暗指这人花拳绣腿，刷存在感但实际有用的功劳很少。
如果直接说 He did lots of stuffs but most of them are not that valuable.
感觉跟中文想表达的还是不太一样。
有没有比较贴近中文原文的英文表达方法?
