大家好，请教一下
在英语论坛问了一个问题：
What is 'no smoking' shortened from?
（中间略过）
外国网友Roman55回应：
I don't think you can talk about it being 'shortened' from something else.
想问的是，如果不写being是不是也可以呢？
我觉得'shortened'本来就可以当形容词修饰it了，加being是不是会变成有「现在进行」
的状态？请教一下，谢谢。
