标题[求译] 请问这句的where该怎麽翻?

原文:Indirect addressing is a mode of addressing data memory where the data
memory address in the instruction is not fixed
间接定址是定址data memory的其中一种模式 where data memory 位址在instruction
不是被固定的
在这里where是当从属连接词使用，代表where後面的从属子句是要来修饰主要子句，且从
属子句无法单独存在。
但我看不出来它在哪个程度上修饰了主要子句，也觉得它可以单独存在。更奇怪的是我不
懂为什麽这里要放where，想请问各位在这句中where应该怎麽翻译比较好?
