标题[文法] 定冠词的用法

最近在学习affection这个单字，书上是写不可数名词
照理讲说前方是不应该放冠词的
如: I have great affection for the teacher.
但我在网路上的字典例句中有看到这一句:
I have a deep affection for New York City.
想问这个冠词a是跟affection搭配吗? 还是跟deep搭配?
有点被搞混
