标题[文法] 词典中"fountain pen"的解释

大家好，请教一下
在柯林斯词典中查" fountain pen "，看到这样的解释：
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink that you have drawn up inside it from
a bottle.
这个解释如果是这样看
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink "inside it from a bottle".
或这样看
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink "that you have drawn up".
我都还能理解。但两者合在一起就会觉得，"it"应该是指"pen"，却距离得好远。
然而如果是这样写：
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink inside it from a bottle that you have
drawn up.
"it"离"pen"的距离是拉近了，可是"that you have drawn up"却离"ink"远了，会人误以
为是修饰"bottle"。
因此这句子实在没有更好的写法，现在这样只能说是不得已的办法。
我的理解是否正确呢？谢谢！

1F：→ dunchee: 有更好的写法，比如it改成the pen(不过仍有别的问题)，或 02/28 23:57
2F：→ dunchee: 是「不拼命挤在一个句子里头」，分成多个句子来解释。会 02/28 23:57
3F：→ dunchee: 这样子是因为这是字典，要省空间/字数(毕竟是源自纸本字 02/28 23:57

如果将it改成the pen，看起来不错啊，不知会有什麽其他的问题呢？
难道是读者会将from a bottle误以为是修饰inside the pen的the pen吗？
