标题[求译] 曾经为学生社团的总务组长

想请问，如果想写经历:"学生社团的总务组长"
可以写成:
Elected to Student Association Financial Section Leader of treasurer
或是elected to可以省略呢??
另外後面的of treasurer是否要去掉??
看起来好像有点累赘~~请达人帮忙解释一下，谢谢
