考题：一般
题目：这是一题克漏字选择，节录如下:
I am speaking of the kind which is vital _18._ the preservation
and perpetuation of a free nation: the mental and moral courage
which drives us to seek truth.
(B)18.(A)for (B)to (C)of (D)with
提问：我选(A)。
不过我查了字典和collocation，书中都有提及vital to与vital for 的用法。
(ex. Team spirit is vital for success.
These nutrients are absolutely vital to good health.)
请问这两者是否不能通用呢?(因为看例句我找不出差别在那里>_<a)
