标题[文法] yet 的用法（已爬文）

家教学生的考卷中出现以下题目：
"Though every season is special in Hokkaido, _______ autumn's color
and flavors may be the most special of all"
答案是"yet"
我的问题是，though 跟 yet在这里不是都当做连接词使用吗？
为什麽这句话可以允许两个连接词？

还是说这里的yet是当副词？但好像也不太对
