标题[文法] 疑问词为主词的辨别法?

如何分别疑问词为主词或受词
坊间专书跟网路搜寻我都找过了
虽知道大概的分别法 但是以下这几句让我百思不解
What do you think is the situation?
What do you consider is the tone of the speaker?
这两句为原来的句子插入 do you think 来询问对方意见
但是书上说 他的原句
What is the situation? 和 What is the tone of the speaker?
的疑问词What在句中为主词
但是不管用中文或用英文想
What is the situation? 的回答应该是 The situation is XXX.
而不是 XXX is the situation.吧 what怎会是主词
What do you consider is the tone of the speaker?
回答也应该是The tone of the speaker is XXX.
what应该是受词补语不是主词
所以这两句加入do you think/consider应该是
What do you think the situation is?
和 What do you consider the tone of the speaker is? 才对吧
烦请文法高手解释!!
难道课本写错了@@"?
