这里有三行，其中的某一句

为什麽用分词呢
我的疑问是，一般省略的时候，关代也会一起省略掉，那这里关代没有省略掉，
是怎麽回事?
我觉得原句是 than after they participated in sports or other leisure activites.
但这里用分词是不是有什麽用法?
我不懂.
