求中译／英译：
Of the more than 1000 bicycling deaths each year, three-fourths are caused
head injuries. Half of those killed are school-age children. One study
concluded that wearing a bike helmet can reduce the risk of head injury by
85%. In an accident, a bike helmet absorb the shock and cushions the head.

提问：
第一句我没问题(不用帮我译).
第二句的"half of those killed",
到底是指"半数车祸死者"(那1000多件死亡车祸),
还是指"头部受伤致死者"(那3/4部分)呢?
我觉得是前者,可是不太确定.要怎麽判断? 谢谢!
