第一句

“You’re not,” Sam says, and it sounds wrenched out of him, sounds raw.
第二句
“Losing your touch, Tom,” he mutters, but he’s wrong about that, wrong,
because when he goes into the room he sees his late wife.

我的试译是：
John说：「我错了。」
Sam说：「不，你没有。」那听起像是出自真心。
第二句
Losing your touch我曾想翻做「失去和你之间的联系」，但前後文好像不符。
可以翻做「丧失你的特质吗？」（抱头）
