The topic of teachers should assign homework to students every day or not can
be approached from several different angles due to its complexity. Some
people tend to agree that teachers should assign homework every day while
others seem to disagree with it. In opinion, I agree that teachers should
assign homework every day.
First, assigning homework to students provides an opportunity for students to
develop a habit of studying. It also helps students more competitive due to
practice searching information by books or internet. The more information
they acquire, the more competence they will have. Moreover, they can make a
big progress by a discussion with classmate, and they exchange their idea and
concept with each other.
Second, doing homework is a process of accumulating knowledge. Doing homework
can make students to know the main point in chapter with ease, and it helps
students to review the chapter. For example, in the past, I have a bad
academic performance due to confusing of the similar concept in chapter. I
spend lots of time on noting and compare the relationship of concept. Thanks
to homework assigned by teacher, I can tell the difference between similar
concept, and I improve my bad grade.
I do not prefer that teachers do not assign homework because the
disadvantages of it are qualitatively greater than the advantages. I think
the reason that I provide in the essay is stronger.
