非常难讲。大多数状况下其实两者可混用。
从语感方面仔细判断,我的结论如下:
Cumulative较被用在"持续叠加"的程序/状况上
Years of cumulative neglect have made this once proud mansion a decrepit shell.
多年的忽视使这曾光辉一时的豪宅变成了破烂的空壳。
[多年"持续"忽视 -> 光辉变破烂]
accumulative则较被用在"叠加完"的结果上
Years of accumulative neglect have resulted in ankle-deep garbage.
多年的忽视导致垃圾淹没脚踝。
[多年持续忽视的"结果" -> 垃圾堆]
