标题[文法] 求解一个句子的文法

想请教一下其它大大分析一下这句的文法
我看了好几次，还是觉得他文法怪怪的
原文出处：Myself and other more important matters by Charles Handy
P.4倒数第十行
原句是
It suggested that authoring was all there was to me.
我能理解的原句是
It suggested that ...一个句字
这个句子
Authoring was all to me.
但这个there was到底是作何用法，该摆拿里
看起来是形容子句修饰all
请大大们帮忙分析一下，十分谢谢
