if you asked on consist and compose, i think
it is high time we talked on comprise and constitute as well.
[A] consist of [B group]
[A] comprises [B group]
[A] is composed of [B group]
[B group] constitutes [A]
* Note [B group] compose [A] is correct in terms of usage although
almost nobody use it this way...
these bear the same meaning.
e.g.
Hong Kong consists of 19 districts historically.
Hong Kong comprises 19 districts historically.
Hong Kong is composed of 19 districts historically.
trivia: What does it mean by "to consist in"?
