标题[求译] 关於澳洲outback的一句翻译

求中译／英译：
I was back in the outback of myth, where the horizon dwarfs even the American
plains: whole states could fit in the millions of empty acres out here.
实在是不太会翻译这句话, 意思是不是大概是说
我回到了outback,那里的地平线甚至让美国的平原相形失色,...
後面就不会翻了...
fit in和最後面的out here又是什麽意思呢?
恳请指教,感激不尽...
