标题[文法] There is 还是 There are?

请问要描述一个房间里有一张床+一个桌子+几只猫...
前面的主词是要接 is / are ?
外师说 is 因为指的是"一个"房间
中师说 are 因为there後面的动词是要依据後面的名词数量来判断
There is a bed, a desk, and several cats in my room.
are
都挤???
