标题[请益] on/at the farm 到底哪个介系词才对？

版上大大们好：
前两天帮小朋友改作文，他们有一句 "Bob is going to be at the farm in October."
我经过查证之後发现 "on" 好像比较多人用，所以就给他改掉，结果害他错了被扣分，真是罪过
但是.....
1) Cambridge 字典
# It was hard work on the farm but satisfying.
# The fertilizers and pesticides used on many farms are polluting the water supply.

且我用 google UK 限定在 UK 范围，下去搜寻 "be on the farm" 和 "be at the farm"
两者得到的结果为 121,000 和 54,800 个网页
结果显示，在 UK 使用 "be on the farm" 的次数是 "be at the farm" 的两倍多
之所以不用 google 不限区，是想说会有很多非英语国家的使用也会被纳入搜寻，恐怕结果有失公允
所以就限定在 UK 大英帝国范围，来做这两句的比较
可是他们的中师和外师讨论过，还是决定用 "at"
请问一下这是和 美式/英式 英语有关吗？
还是本句 Bob is going to be at the farm in October. 就是要用 "at" ?
