controversial 对应 disagree, faulted
thoughtful 对应 "rarely" faulted her "for expressing them"
1. thoughtful 修饰 postition - 经过深思熟虑的立场
2. complicated (difficult to understand) - 难以理解的立场
使用complicated句子在意义上有些奇怪：
由於Carmen备受争议的立场同时令人难以理解，那些反对她的人甚至无法明确地挑出她
的毛病。（「备受争议 和 难以理解 的立场」隐含矛盾）
