He has been instrumental for Lee Bowyer's side, missing just one Championship game and scoring six goals from midfield. Charlton started the season brightly but have won just once in their past 15 league matches, a run stretching back to mid-October, and currently find themselves just four points above the drop-zone. Gallagher will link up with fellow Chelsea Academy graduate Marc Guehi, who made the loan move to South Wales last week, as well as Steve Cooper, the England Under-17 manager who had the pair in his team when the young Lions won the World Cup at that age group in 2017.
