In an interview to be broadcast tomorrow (December 30th) for the British Forces Broadcasting Service, Mourinho said: "I have respect for them for the reason they are in such difficult situations. (老大感谢新年期间的英国军队~~) “They are in a fantastically difficult situation, they have to be mentally tough and at the same time they are separated from their families. They are not at home and so they miss people. They also have no space to miss the memories of the people they have to leave, no space to cry for them, so I have a lot of respect for them. It's a real hard job. I can't imagine what it is like. I hope they all had a great Christmas and wish them a happy and safe new year." (他们很伟大，新年期间尽忠职守而无法与家人团聚。) In a wide-ranging interview Mourinho also discussed his first season and a half at Chelsea and the forthcoming year. He was asked the following questions: (老大也谈了这一年半的生活。) Now you have won the Premiership and the League Cup in your first season and you are top of the league by miles again, how many marks would you give yourself? (目前给自己打几分？) Not myself because it is not an individual sport, it is a family, a group, we are all responsible for good things and bad things. I think to our group I give a nine. I couldn't give a 10 because we didn't get to the Champions League Final. But because it is knockout and knockout is quite strange and not always the best teams go through, I would give between eight and nine. It was a great season but not perfect. (8.5，因为没打进欧冠决赛。) It seems Chelsea are the new Manchester United. Every kid wants to support Chelsea and you are winning everything as well. (看起来现在的小孩都想支持却尔西。) Not yet. I think the Chelsea project is not about winning one championship, it is about gaining a few over the next years. At that time we can compare ourselves to what Man United have done in the past. But at this moment we have just one Premiership, a very important one as it was the first in 50 years and changes a little bit the way people look at Chelsea, especially the kids. But we have to do more to persuade people that Chelsea are the club of the future. (计画还很长远，我们要吸引更多人的目光。) All around us is the Chelsea project - the building work that is going on at the training ground. Is that how you see it? Are you here for the long term, here to build as well as succeed? (你来这里是为了长期规划的吗？) Yes that is the reason I came here. A very important part of the project is to win because if you win you make it easy for everybody in the club — marketing, merchandising - all of these are better when you win matches and competitions. Football is crucial - for the club and for the passion — and we are working a lot on that. We are investing a lot of money in the future of Chelsea — the structure, the Academy, it is a big investment and we are looking forward to the future. I have a five-year contract and I hope I can finish it because I love it here. (没错，不只是拿冠军，还要为俱乐部打下基础。希望我能完成五年的合约。) Do you feel comfortable living in a foreign country? Are you happy in England? (在英国待得开心吗？) I am very happy. I am from the south of Portugal and for nine years I have not been living in my home there. I was in Barcelona for four years and in Porto for another three. Now I come to London so my house has been in Portugal for the last nine years but I have not been living there. The same with my wife, the same with my kids. If you are sacked, you have another job or your economical situation is good for a few years. If you have no job over a few months, it is not a drama for you. The day I am sacked I go home and I don't want to train for a few months. I want to enjoy my life, I want to enjoy my family and I want to enjoy my Portugal. I want enjoy myself. (这就是足球啊~~ 如果被解雇的话我想陪陪家人，享受生活。。) Are you a winner because you have a sense of perspective? You said there is no such thing as pressure in football - pressure is what happens in Iraq. Win and lose is part of the game, you cannot feel like the king because you win and you cannot feel like a monster because you lose. You have to keep your balance so to be fair I don't feel a lot of pressure. There are a lot of people in the world who have a lot of pressure. There are lot of jobs in the world where the pressure is there every moment.
