我问了他们学校的information services是如何运作的
以下是他们的回信 大家可以参考看看
Dear Tzu-Ming Liu,
Thank you for your inquiry. Visitor Information Services is
largely
supported by the University in that all salaries and expenses
required for basic operations are funded. Our tour guides are paid an
hourly wage for their services.
Because this is a job, we expect a
very high level of service from our student guides. Guides work in
the Visitor Center as tour guides and in general reception duties. We
hire once a year and have a very competitive process for hiring new
guides. Last year approximately
18% of applicants were hired.
Guide salaries are funded as are office supplies, publications,
facilities fees, etc...
Our organization also has a self-supporting private tour practice
that enables us to accommodate hundreds of visiting educational
groups each year. We charge those groups, and that revenue is used to
cover guide costs for those special tours and offset other expenses.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have
any other questions.
Sincerely,
Andrea Paz Frost
