标题[问题] 看paper时的小问题

今天看paper时看到这样一段话，
"Treatment with rapamycin also blocks mitogen induced
down regulation of the cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor,
p27Kip1,through an unknown mechanism."
想请问一下，
p27Kip1→ 通常是Kip1会写在p27的右上方缩写，那是代表什麽意思呢?
