光figure legend的讯息有点不够...
不过我的想法是这样...

作者应该是以HindIII切完後 再做Southern blot
根据"片段大小"判断copy number
如果只有一个Insert 则HindIII fragment仅包含dTph9後半段加exonIII的一部份
大小应该就如paper描述的0.8kb
画个exonIII的简图:
HindIII HindIII +之间为insert dTph9 |为HindIII切位
----
+-----|---+----------|------
dTph9
切完後会产生
|---+----------| 这段片段 0.8kb
如果insert不只一个 则会切出另一个的片段 大小可能会跟dTph9一样 (你可想想为什麽)
至於会多大我不知道@@
而为何2.0kb会有一陀 应该只是其他的DNA fragments
